The Science Foundation discussed the mechanisms of commercialization at the final CLIENT II conference in Berlin
The final conference of the CLIENT II program – International Partnership for Sustainable Innovation, organized by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of Germany, was held in Berlin. Partners from participating countries, including Kazakhstan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Chile and others, are invited to the event.
Kamil Akatov, Chairman of the Board of the Science Foundation, spoke at the plenary session "How do international partners assess cooperation and the impact of the CLIENT?". During the session, the mechanisms of commercialization of applied research, business involvement in the development of innovative solutions and the possibility of scaling technologies were discussed. The CLIENT II program provides participants with a platform for introducing scientific developments to the international market, which contributes to sustainable development.
Kazakhstan participates in eight CLIENT II thematic projects, which cover environmentally sound locust management technologies, restoration of radioactively contaminated lands, increasing the sustainability of agriculture, development of the textile industry based on local crops and urban water management. One of the projects, Locust-Tec, aimed at introducing innovative solutions for environmentally sound locust management, was presented at the conference by representatives of Nazarbayev University.
German representatives Rainer Muesner (Federal Ministry of Education and Research), Peter Liebelt (CASIB), Roland Keil (DLR Projektträger) and Daniel Stapel (Jülich) made presentations on the financing measures of the program.
The Science Foundation, as the main institution for the commercialization of scientific projects, continues to actively work on attracting Kazakhstani scientists to international projects, forming new scientific and innovative collaborations and expanding opportunities for technology commercialization.
