Kozybayev University strengthens scientific ties with Chinese partners
The delegation of the North Kazakhstan region headed by Akim Gauez Nurmukhambetov visited Shaanxi province as part of an official visit to China. Key meetings aimed at strengthening partnership between the regions were held in Xi'an. The regional delegation included Chairman of the Board – Rector of Kozybayev University Yerbol Isakaev and Dean of the Faculty of Agrotechnology Altyn Shayakhmetova.
During the visit, a number of agreements were signed, which not only open up new opportunities for the region, but also have a significant impact on the development of scientific and educational projects of Kozybayev University. These agreements are aimed at the implementation of joint research, academic mobility of students and teachers, the introduction of advanced technologies and attracting investments in the agricultural sector of Northern Kazakhstan.
For more than 7 years, Kozybayev University has been implementing a strategic partnership with the Northwestern University of Agriculture and Forestry (NWSLH), a leading scientific and educational center in China. He conducts advanced developments in the field of innovative technologies and water resources management. Cooperation between universities is already yielding results and has significant potential: two-degree master's degree programs have been opened, academic exchange of students is actively carried out, bilateral research on variety testing of crops is underway, a Water Resources Center and an agro-Competence Center have been opened in North Kazakhstan Region, etc.
Now, a joint Chinese-Kazakh laboratory for animal husbandry has been launched on the basis of the SLC in Shaanxi Province.
Joint projects in the field of plant breeding, animal genetics and water resources open up unique opportunities for the introduction of advanced technologies into agriculture in Northern Kazakhstan. These developments will increase yields, increase livestock productivity and ensure more rational use of water, which is especially important for the region.
Another important document signed during the visit to China was the cooperation agreement between Kozybayev University and Xi'an Hytech Agrochemicals Co. As part of it, a modern base has been opened here for scientific internships of teachers, undergraduates and professional practices of Kazakhstani students.
During a visit to the production facilities and laboratory of Xi'an Hytech Agrochemicals Co., Chairman of the Board – Rector Yerbol Isakaev got acquainted with the advanced technologies of the company. She specializes in the development of innovative plant protection products, including effective bacterial preparations to enhance their immunity. He holds more than 70 national patents and 40 industry awards.
This agreement opens up unique opportunities for students and teachers of the Faculty of Agrotechnology of Kozybayev University to complete internships, participate in joint research and share experiences with leading experts in the field of plant biosecurity. The partnership will make a significant contribution to the development of the agricultural sector in the region and the training of highly qualified specialists.
