There is a Psychological Support Center in Karaganda under the Department of Education. Here, specialists provide free qualified assistance to children and their parents.
The center was established on the basis of the laboratory of socio-psychological support, which has been operating for the fourth year. Initially, specialists traveled to districts and educational organizations to improve the professional competence of teachers and psychologists, and also provided support at the request of the Department of Education, the Commissioner for Children's Rights and parents.
And in the Psychological Support Center, help is primarily focused on children and parents, helps to solve their emotional and psychological problems.
– We provide services to all participants of the educational process. The main task is to analyze the system of psychological support and improve the quality of psychological care in educational institutions. We work directly with psychologists, social educators, deputy directors of educational work, classroom teachers. And now special consultation rooms have been opened for children, parents and teachers. If a child or parent does not want or cannot contact a psychologist at their school for various reasons, you can come to us directly, – says the head of the Psychological Support Center Tatyana Lyubchanskaya.
The opening of the center has allowed to expand the staff, now it employs 11 specialists with rich practical experience. Consultations are conducted in Kazakh and Russian. In addition, dialogue platforms and forum theaters are regularly held, which help to create a space for sharing experiences and solving urgent problems.
– We have an office for children from 2 to 6 years old. Parents who are worried or want to get advice on child development can contact us. We do not perform the functions of the PMPC, but we are ready to provide diagnostic assistance and support, – says Tatyana Lyubchanskaya.
The center is open from 08:30 to 18:30 daily, except Saturdays and Sundays. If necessary (in emergency situations), psychologists can consult on Saturdays.
