Specialists of the Salamatty Kazakhstan medical train examined about 60 thousand residents of remote villages and stations, including over 14 thousand children.
Residents of rural areas where there are no hospitals and doctors were able to receive over 165 thousand qualified medical services, including consultations with specialized specialists, instrumental and laboratory tests.
Thus, about 9 thousand dental services were provided in the medical care structure of polyclinics on wheels, over 18 thousand laboratory tests were processed, 8841 ultrasound and 6787 ECG sessions were performed, 4788 minor surgical operations were performed.
As a result of examinations, 3007 patients with various diseases were identified, 561 of them suffer from BSC, 76 people were diagnosed with diabetes mellitus, 112 cases of glaucoma, 1864 villagers were taken for treatment with other diseases. Of these, 2,973 patients were taken for dynamic observation in polyclinics at the place of attachment, including 449 children.
In 9 months of 2024, the medical train covered 91 stations in twelve regions of Kazakhstan: Mangystau, Atyrau, Aktobe, West Kazakhstan, Kostanay, North Kazakhstan and Akmola, Pavlodar, East Kazakhstan and Abai, Karaganda and Ulytau regions.
On the train, medical care is provided by 14 specialized specialists, such as a therapist, pediatrician, cardiologist, radiologist, surgeon/ traumatologist, otorhinolaryngologist, neuropathologist, dentist, obstetrician-gynecologist, urologist, ophthalmologist, ultrasound diagnostics doctor, as well as a psychologist. Compared to last year, the train is equipped with an X-ray machine, mammograph, EEG, rectoromanoscope, calcoscope.
In the process of providing medical services, a number of unusual cases were identified, which were diagnosed in time and urgent measures were taken for further treatment tactics.
For example, during an electrocardiographic study, cases of patients with a picture of myocardial infarction were identified, they were urgently hospitalized by an ambulance team.
Special attention on medical trains is paid to the elderly, children, as well as those who need emergency or regular medical care.
Within the framework of the signed Memorandum between the Ministry of Health and Samruk-Kazyna JSC, the social project "Salamatty Kazakhstan Medical Train" is implemented annually to increase the availability of medical care to residents of remote areas.
