Zhambyl Regional Rheumatology Center is now equipped with a modern densitometer, a unique device for assessing bone mineral density.
Densitometry is a fast, accurate and painless diagnostic method that allows you to:
To identify osteoporosis in the early stages;
To assess the risk of bone fractures;
To determine the condition of bone tissue in diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic osteoporosis, psoriatic arthritis and others;
To monitor the condition of bones in patients taking hormonal or other drugs that affect mineral metabolism;
To identify bone density disorders after injury or surgery.
For whom is this examination important?
☑️ Women over 50 years old and men over 60 years old;
Patients with rheumatological diseases (rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, etc.);
☑️ People who have suffered fractures after minimal injuries;
☑️ Patients taking hormonal drugs for a long time;
Those who have cases of osteoporosis in their family.
Why is this important?
Osteoporosis is often called a "silent disease", as it proceeds for a long time without symptoms, but leads to serious consequences – fractures of the spine, hip joint and other bones. Early diagnosis helps to start treatment in a timely manner and prevent complications.
Now modern diagnostic methods are available to residents of Zhambyl region and they do not need to go to republican clinics for this.
