The Temirtau State Crisis Center for Social Assistance has turned one year old. During this time, 56 families have received shelter and support, in which 111 children are being raised. Nine people were able to find work and then rent housing on their own, two women started a new life by creating other families.
The Center provides special social services to people and families facing the threat of abuse and violence. Among the recipients of assistance are families in difficult life situations, including victims of abuse, emergencies, or registered with the Commission on juvenile Affairs.
The center has a capacity of 50 seats. It is located in a two-storey building with an area of more than a thousand square meters, includes 16 living rooms, a recreation room and a play area for kids, a dining room, a kitchen and a medical room. The wards are provided with five meals a day and the help of qualified specialists: psychologists, lawyers, doctors, social workers and occupational therapy instructors.
"We are proud that we were able to launch two important areas," says Asel Nabieva, director of the Crisis Center. — In October, the Family Support Center began its work, the main task of which is to prevent difficult situations by identifying them at an early stage. And since November, we have launched a mobile group that responds promptly to calls. These initiatives allow us to provide targeted and effective assistance, helping families return to a stable life faster.
