The first visiting meeting of the republican project office "Serpin" was held in Petropavlovsk
As part of a working trip to the North Kazakhstan region, Deputy Prime Minister Tamara Duissenova visited the M.Kozybayev University, where she held a meeting with the participation of the akim of the region, Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Abenov, students, graduates and employers participating in the Serpin program.
Murat Abenov, head of the Serpin Republican Project Office, noted that the program is receiving a new impetus and supported the initiative to create the Serpin Graduates Association, which will provide support to applicants and students.
1,350 people have studied and are continuing their studies in the Northern Region as part of the program. Many graduates decide to stay working in this region, creating families and contributing to the development of the region. One of these graduates is Nurseit Abdirazakov. He came from the Kazygurt district of Turkestan region in 2016, entered the university, and after graduation remained working in the same region as a school teacher.
"The program is really effective. I associate my future with this region," Nurseit Abdirazakov shared his plans.
The Deputy Prime Minister stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between universities and colleges with enterprises. She noted that the training of specialists who meet the needs of employers is the key to the successful implementation of the program.
More than 300 memoranda with employers have been signed in the region. Individual work on further employment was organized for 68 graduates who will complete their studies this year. Representatives of large companies in the region stressed the high demand for young professionals and expressed their willingness to actively participate in the Serpin program.
At the moment, 8 regions have been identified that are experiencing a shortage of personnel. The possibility of employment of Serpin graduates in these regions is being considered.
"The program is of great social importance, provides stable work for future graduates and training for the needs of specific enterprises. Colleges are scheduled to participate in the program next year. For effective implementation, all interested ministries, regional akimats and employers will work closely together. In this process, the key role is assigned to the regional project offices," Tamara Duisenova noted.
The Deputy Prime Minister got acquainted with the laboratories of the North Kazakhstan State University named after M.Kozybayev and asked about the scientific research of students, among whom there are participants of the Serpin program. The capabilities of such modern laboratories really allow us to work together with the involvement of international experts.
For example, scientists from the Northwestern Agricultural University of China, in collaboration with students of Kozybayev University, are working on projects in the field of agriculture and water resources.
It should be noted that M.Kozybayev North Kazakhstan State University is a partner of the University of Arizona in the USA. The cooperation program includes obtaining a double degree, scientific exchange between scientists, joint internships for teachers, as well as recommendations for improving academic strategy and corporate governance.
