On December 29, 2024, an accredited observer, Mr. Tormodur Tormodson, Head of the Aviation Accident Investigation Section, arrived in Aktau on behalf of the Secretary General of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
It should be noted that ICAO highly appreciated the actions of the aviation authorities of Kazakhstan in the openness of the investigation and the involvement of interested States.
Thus, all 17 international experts are located in Aktau.
