The JOLTAP project, implemented in the capital, helps residents of the city not only to find work, but also to improve their skills and expand their professional opportunities. Aisulu Sametova, a graduate of the project, shared her learning history, the official website of Astana Akimat reports.
Aisulu works in the field of furniture design. During her maternity leave, she had time, which she decided to spend on gaining new knowledge. The girl found out about the JOLTAP project from social networks.

"I came across an Instagram post, and I saw it as a chance to develop, broaden my horizons and learn new professions for myself. The project was supposed to give me everything I needed for this. I had previously worked in the field of furniture design, but I lacked consistency in knowledge. The JOLTAP courses helped me structure everything I knew and learn new skills," said the Astana resident.
To begin with, she chose to study as a furniture assembler. The courses were led by an experienced teacher who, according to the project participant, paid great attention to practice.
"We learned how to calculate sizes, select materials and assemble furniture. By the end of the course, I was able to assemble the furniture on my own. This knowledge allowed me to feel more confident in my profession and improve my skills," said the designer.
During the course period, Aisulu mastered all the necessary knowledge in order to further develop as a furniture designer.
However, she didn't stop there. During the course, she also became interested in mobilography. Therefore, she decided to additionally master this profession.
"We have completed an intensive training course in a short period of time. The main focus was on practice. Soon I learned professional mobilography. This knowledge has helped me expand my career opportunities, and now I can apply it in my work. I have developed my competencies and subsequently increased my salary," said the graduate of the project.
Aisulu believes that the project provides a unique opportunity to try yourself in a new field or develop skills in your main profession in order to gain self-confidence.
"I am very grateful to the JOLTAP project for helping me develop important skills and inspiring me to achieve new goals. Thanks to this, I not only improved my professional competencies, but also met interesting people," the girl concluded.
