The construction of a modern dairy farm for 1,100 cattle has been completed in the village of Kobetey, Nurinsky district. Cows are expected to be delivered in the spring, and after that the company will start working.
Deputy Akim of Karaganda region Baurzhan Asanov told the YouTube channel "Where the akimat is looking" about new opportunities in agriculture and saturation of the region with his own products.
– Karaganda region is industrial. Nevertheless, the development of the agro–industrial complex is one of the priorities. The share of agriculture in the gross regional product is about 4%. Of the 19 socially significant food products, 14 are produced in the region. According to six names, the internal needs are fully met. These are flour, potatoes, beef, chicken egg, etc. In all cases, the security is partial – from 4 to 65%. We are importing five items: salt, buckwheat, rice, sunflower oil, sugar," said Baurzhan Asanov.
According to him, one of the tasks is to saturate the domestic market with our own milk. Due to the shortage of raw materials, the dairies are half-loaded. The opening of new dairy farms will help solve the problem.
According to the Auyl Amanaty project, there is state support for agricultural cooperation, the deputy governor of the region noted. There is an opportunity to get a preferential loan of up to 30 million tenge. During the year, more than 60 agricultural cooperatives were created in the region.
Work continues on the return of unused agricultural land. In 2024, the figure was about 163 hectares. The issue of shortage of pasture lands is being resolved. Irrigated agriculture is also increasing in the region.
