Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov said at a government meeting that more than 300,000 producers are currently operating in the agro-industrial complex of Kazakhstan, which employ 1.1 million people, including 595,000 workers, or 55%.
He noted that, taking into account the coefficient of nepotism, each specialist employed in the industry provides an average income of three people. Thus, agriculture directly or indirectly affects the financial well-being of 4 million people, making it one of the key sources of social stability.
"In order to involve the population in working professions, farmers have access to government-implemented incentive measures, along with other industries, such as subsidizing housing costs, salaries for young professionals, and the generational contract. The Ministry also provides various measures of state support through the Agrarian Credit Corporation, Kazagrofinance, and social and entrepreneurial corporations," said Aidarbek Saparov.
