In Akmola region, one of the main tasks is to transform the agricultural sector into the main driver of the economy. More than 1 trillion tenge is expected in the volume of agricultural products. This is 1.5 times more than last year. This was announced by Akim of Akmola region Marat Akhmetzhanov at the site in the CCS.
According to him, the region's farmers have harvested a record 6.6 million tons of grain. The volume of harvest from 1 hectare exceeded 14 quintals.
"I want to note that the grain quality is also as high as possible. More than 60% of the grain is of high commercial quality. All this is the result of hard work, government support and timely application of modern agricultural technologies. The volume of sowing high-quality seeds and applying mineral fertilizers has doubled. It is also important to update agricultural machinery. 1,239 units have been purchased this year," the head of the region said.
The President noted that Akmola region plays an important role in providing food to Astana. Therefore, the strategic position is to further strengthen these works and increase production volumes. There are good results. The region provides more than 50% of Astana residents' needs for dairy products, 30% of meat products, 80% of eggs, 85% of potatoes. 80 tons of meat products, 320 tons of dairy products, 700 thousand tons are supplied to residents of the capital daily. eggs and 25 tons of flour.
There are a number of enterprises that make a great contribution to ensuring the food safety of Astana. In the future, their number will grow. At the same time, the Head of State instructed to spread the experience of the Rodina agricultural company in other regions of the country. This company has both high production performance and high social responsibility. Tselinograd "En-Dala", Arshali "Temir Agro", Bulandyn poultry farm, Akkol "Enbek" and others are also expanding their enterprises. Thus, in the future, the coverage rate of the capital with natural and pure food products will be increased.
"We maintain a leading position in the production of poultry meat. The share in the total volume of the republic is 30%, and in eggs – 16%. This year we are launching 5 dairy farms. The production of commercial milk will increase by 30 thousand tons per year or 1.4 times. Next year, 2 more farms will be launched. Also this year, we have expanded the acreage for forage crops. As a result, enough livestock feed was prepared. There is also a positive trend in the processing industry. 67 enterprises are working in this direction. In 10 months, they produced food products worth 208 billion tenge, which exceeds the level of last year by 5%. At the same time, the production of processed milk, cheese and cottage cheese, vegetable oil and flour has significantly increased," the governor of the region said.
The Head of State set a task to increase the share of processed products to 70% in 3 years. A number of measures are being taken in the region to do this. In particular, it is planned to implement 80 projects by 2027 with the attraction of more than 132 billion tenge of investments in the agro-industrial complex. This will provide enterprises with raw materials, increase utilization and production capacity. This year, it is planned to launch 27 projects worth more than 30 billion tenge. There is a lot of support from the state.
For example, the program of preferential loans for spring field and harvesting works "Ken dala-2" is in demand among farmers. It has been available since December this year to prepare in advance for the next sowing campaign. In the coming days, the first 15 billion tenge for these works will be distributed to peasant farms. And in January – additional funds. This will have a positive impact on the payment of wages to farmers, the timely purchase of high-quality seeds, mineral fertilizers and other necessary goods and services. In the region, work in this direction will continue intensively.
The industrial sector is also developing dynamically. The volume of industrial production amounted to 1.6 trillion tenge. More than 77% are in the manufacturing industry. The region produces 100% of railway bearings, 81% of specialized transport, 67% of combine harvesters, 59% of gold-bearing ores, 39% of tractors, produces 30% of raw gold and 28% of ceramic bricks in the context of the republic.
The region ranks first in the production of semi-finished gold. In general, growth rates have been achieved in mechanical engineering, food production and electricity supply.
