Acts of vandalism revealed in Astana: broken doors and damaged property

The metropolitan police continue to fight acts of vandalism and violators of public order. In recent days, new cases of damage to other people's property have been recorded in Astana, the perpetrators of which were quickly found and brought to justice, the official website of the Mayor's Office of the capital reports.
So, on January 1, 2025, at about 06:00 a.m., a 26-year-old citizen intentionally damaged the front door of one of the private houses, causing material damage in the amount of 34,900 tenge.
On New Year's Eve, December 31, 2024, at 00:45, a 21-year-old woman damaged the front door and doorbell in the apartment, causing damage in the amount of 37,000 tenge.
Later, on January 3, 2025, at about 23:30, a 33-year-old man kicked and broke an elevator door in a public place.
All the violators were found and brought to administrative responsibility under Article 147-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
These incidents are part of a comprehensive effort to curb vandalism in the capital. The police are actively conducting preventive work aimed at maintaining order and cleanliness in the city, as well as preventing antisocial behavior.
The purpose of the action is to stop any manifestations of vandalism and keep the capital clean and tidy.
332 citizens were brought to justice for vandalism, 191 of them were fined, 141 people were punished with administrative arrest.
Vandalism prevention is carried out under the coordination of the City Prosecutor's Office and the Police Department.
