The Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation is repairing irrigation channels in Zhetysai, Shardara and Maktaaral districts of Turkestan region. Work is also underway to equip the branches of Kazvodkhoz with 757 units of equipment for mechanized canal cleaning. In addition, the Ministry is working on amendments to the legislation to increase the salaries of water management specialists.
Yerbolat Ibraikhanov, Vice Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, spoke about the work carried out by the department and the results of the meeting with residents of the Turkestan region.
