According to the results of the Moroccan locust autumn survey, chemical treatment is planned to be carried out on an area of 529,000 hectares in the Turkestan region in 2025.
Deputy Akim of the region Nurbol Turashbekov held a meeting with the heads of relevant departments, where the work plan was finalized. At the moment, the infected territories are divided into 65 sites, covering 57 rural districts in 9 districts.
The meeting discussed issues of assigning specialists to distributed sites, clarifying the lists of determinants, their methodological training, as well as improving the efficiency of chemical treatment.
– In addition to the work carried out under the state order, industry inspections, forecasting centers and local executive bodies should be ready to work in an enhanced mode. Early planning is the key to success. By the end of January, all documents must be completed in accordance with the law, and training of determinants will begin in February. The work on approving the lists of determinants, taking into account coordination with the district and city akimats, has not yet been completed. I remind you that those who fail to complete tasks on time will be strictly responsible," Nurbol Turashbekov stressed.
It is planned to attract an additional 843 specialists and 117 vehicles to complete pest control measures within 15 days. It was also decided to consult with scientists to improve the effectiveness of the use of chemicals.
