Today, military personnel of military units 6506 and 6698 stationed in Shymkent celebrated the 33rd anniversary of the formation of the National Guard of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The solemn event was attended by officers, contract servicemen, conscripts and veterans of the law enforcement forces.
The National Guard in the law enforcement system of Kazakhstan traces its history back to the beginning of the Republic's independence period, when the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan were formed on January 10, 1992. This date became the starting point for the holiday.
- "Today we celebrate our professional holiday. Over the years of Independence, the law enforcement forces have completed many service and combat missions, ensuring public safety in cities and towns. And our military unit has fulfilled all the tasks set for itself at a high level. I wish good health, happiness and success in our difficult task to every serviceman standing in the ranks, our dear veterans, and all personnel," said Colonel Tolegen Shynybekov, Acting Brigade Commander.
During the event, medals, badges, diplomas and letters of appreciation were awarded to the most distinguished servicemen for the conscientious performance of their official duties and in connection with the celebration of National Guard Day.
The event ended with a solemn march of the personnel.
