KELESHEK: HOW TO SAVE UP AND WHAT TO SPEND
Today, on January 10, the President signed a law concerning the Keleshek State Educational Accumulative System.
This state support measure is intended for children of Kazakhstan aged 5 years and older to accumulate stable financial resources until they reach the age of 18 to pay for educational services in the country and abroad, including higher education, as well as technical and vocational education.
Advantages of the Keleshek program:
establishment of the starting educational capital from the state for children who turned 5 years old in the current calendar year, 60 MCI (235,920 tenge);
for orphaned children, 120 MCI (471,840 tenge);
remuneration of a second-tier bank or investment income of a life insurance company;
annual payment of the state premium in the amount of 5-7%.
You can become a member of Keleshek by opening a deposit in second-tier banks or signing an insurance contract with CSJ.
In this regard, parents, after opening these accounts, must annually make a minimum contribution of 12 MCI (about 4 thousand tenge per month) for children with disabilities and 24 MCI for other children.
After graduation, how can the accumulated funds be used?:
to study at colleges and universities;
If you receive an educational grant, what can you spend the funds on?:
for other technical and higher education;
transfer funds to a third party, a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
Continue accumulating;
to use them for housing;
and also to receive the accumulated funds, provided that you provide a document of education.
