About one hundred military personnel from Aktau, Aktobe, Ural, Atyrau and Beineu garrisons took part in the competition.
The championship was held on the basis of the sports complex of the Aktau garrison Marine brigade. The athletes competed in 10 weight categories.
In the team competition, the first place was taken by the team of the Marine brigade under the command of Guard Captain Abdulla Omirzakov. The team won five gold medals and rightfully received the rolling Cup of the commander of the troops of the RgK Zapad.
It is especially worth noting the contribution of privates Zhalgas Alpkaliev and Rauan Salyk, who won in their weight categories, to the victory of the conscripts.
"Army hand–to–hand combat is not just a sporting event, but a key element of combat training," said Lieutenant Colonel Azamat Suleimenov, commander of the Marine brigade. – The participants of the championship showed excellent results, I am sure that each of them will be able to adequately represent our military team at the Cup of the Minister of Defense.
The second place in the team competition was taken by the team of military unit 41433 (Atyrau), and the third place was taken by the team of military unit 99116 (Beineu). The winners and prize-winners of the championship were awarded with diplomas and valuable gifts.
