The meeting of the staff of the Zhambyl region, chaired by the akim of Zhambyl region, Erbol Karashukeyev, discussed the implementation of the action plan for the Year of Working Professions.

In general, the regional plan includes more than 120 events.

The head of the region emphasized the need to qualitatively fulfill the tasks set by the President, give special priority to the ultimate goal of the "Year of Working Professions", and focus on real results, not just for the sake of reports.

According to the head of the regional education department, Rauan Sadyrkulov, who made a report at the meeting, he noted that the department had included about 50 events in the plan. All goals and objectives are aimed at developing working professions and assisting young graduates in finding employment.

As part of the Year of Working Professions, it is planned to build 2 dormitories for college students (with a total of 240 beds), open 6 industry hubs, 2 new specialties, open a branch of a foreign educational organization in the specialty "car assembly", as well as create a "1C" certification center.

The "Atlas of New Professions" project was also launched in the region. This initiative will allow systematizing and analyzing new, in-demand professions and specialties emerging in the fields of industry, mining, agriculture, construction, and tourism.

This year, in order to update the material and technical base of colleges, a state examination of the design and estimate documentation for the major renovation of Shu and Karatau Construction and Technical College No. 10 was conducted.

For the 2024-2025 academic year, 7,486 state education orders were allocated for 70 specialties. Of these, 455 students were accepted to study in specialties needed by enterprises. It should be noted that 109 contracts were concluded between colleges and employer enterprises. At the same time, 26 students are receiving education at the expense of 13 employers.

Yerbol Karashukeyev emphasized that it is an important task to make labor veterans an example for the younger generation and to provide students from rural areas with dormitories.

At the same time, the regional akim ordered the organization of a large-scale job fair with the participation of enterprises of all levels in order to provide personnel for industries with a shortage of qualified specialists, and the qualitative implementation of the "Atlas of New Professions" project. He instructed to expand the scope of dual training and work on improving the professional training of students in large production facilities.

The meeting reviewed the progress of updating the Family Digital Card data and heard a report by Erkin Kelesov, head of the Employment and Social Programs Department.
