The Dutch Embassy in Astana hosted a meeting of representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, FAO, NANOC, the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the Netherlands, Kazakh Invest and the Embassy of the Netherlands.
The participants discussed key areas for strengthening cooperation in agriculture and sustainable development. Special attention was paid to the joint initiatives of FAO and the Netherlands-Kazakhstan Working Group on the integration of the climate and agricultural agenda.
The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan presented its priorities in the field of sustainable food production, and the Dutch side shared its experience in developing food systems taking into account climate change.
One of the key topics was the discussion of preparations for the third meeting of the Netherlands-Kazakhstan Working group, which will be held within the framework of the international exhibition Grow Expo 2025 in Astana in April. During this event, FAO will participate in a round table with Kazakh and Dutch stakeholders, which will create a unique platform for sharing experiences and promoting innovative solutions in agriculture.
The meeting highlighted the importance of international cooperation to ensure a sustainable future and strengthen bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and the Netherlands.
