Within the framework of the" Taza Kazakhstan " event, intensive cleaning of roads of national and regional significance was carried out in Turkestan region. This was announced at a briefing by Deputy Head of the Regional Department of passenger transport and highways Meirzhan Zhalairov.
"Within the framework of the campaign, relevant work was carried out on roads of Republican significance in Turkestan region by the regional branch of JSC" NC "Kazavtozhol", on roads of regional significance by the institution "southern roads" in the Department. In addition, cleaning of roads of district significance and streets of settlements was carried out. 65,679 trees were whitewashed and 32,74 were cut down. Also, 2,963 tons of garbage were removed, 5,407.9 km of streets and 811.5 km of roads were cleared. In addition, 42.8 km of irrigation systems were cleared. In total, 542 units of special equipment and 14,600 workers are involved in this work," Meirzhan Serikbaevich said.
Deputy head of the Regional Department of sanitary and epidemiological control Askar Iskakov, who took part in the briefing, said that within the framework of the "Clean Kazakhstan" event, the sanitary and epidemiological service carried out appropriate work in the region, the district and city departments of sanitary and epidemiological control held large-scale subbotniks in their yards and adjacent territories.
In addition, at the briefing, Deputy Head of the Regional Department of culture Yerzhan Isatayev informed that a working group on the protection, restoration and use of historical and cultural heritage has been established under the Department. He also noted that the work on monitoring the infrastructure, cleanliness and service of 28 objects visited by pilgrims and tourists in the city has begun.
In addition, according to the head of the Food Safety Department of the regional territorial inspection Meirkhan Smagulov, inspections of slaughterhouses on the territory of the region will be carried out intensively.
It should be noted that since the beginning of the program, more than 300 thousand residents took part in subbotniks and cleaning, more than 1,500 units of equipment were involved. As a result, about 1 million willows were planted and 3,389 tons of garbage were removed.
