The meeting, chaired by akim of Turkestan region Nuralkhan Kusherov, discussed the work done and topical issues in the field of Public Procurement. The head of the region noted that it is necessary to effectively and purposefully master the budget and implement projects in a timely manner.
- Projects should be implemented in a timely manner. The responsible department should work closely with the mayors of districts, cities and heads of departments. Conduct explanatory work and conduct seminars for responsible managers and specialists. Public procurement processes should be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the law and systematically. To make a proposal to consider the responsibilities of managers who have committed shortcomings in this area, – said Nuralkhan Kusherov.
According to Marlene Kaldarov, acting head of the Department of public procurement of the Turkestan region, since the beginning of 2024, the department has received 1,346 applications from customers for a total amount of 216.3 billion tenge. Of these, 338 applications for works totaling 97.8 billion tenge were received, and 598 applications for services totaling 27.2 billion tenge were accepted. 410 applications for goods totaling 91.3 billion tenge were received. To date, 1345 applications for 216.3 billion tenge have been completed. Last year, applications increased by 80% or 90.7 billion tenge compared to 2023.
At the meeting, shortcomings in the field of Public Procurement were also noted, and appropriate criticism was given. The governor of the region instructed the heads of responsible departments, akims of districts and cities to improve the work and set specific tasks. Timely disbursement of funds, spending in the interests of the country, and the implementation of projects will be strictly controlled.
