Kazakhstan achieves historic result at World Junior Championships

The Junior Freestyle World Championship (moguls, acrobatics) has ended today at the Shymkent ski resort in Almaty.

The national freestyle mogul team won medals every day of the competition. On the first day, Anastasia Gorodko took 2nd place in the individual competition. The next day, she won the gold medal in parallel moguls. Yulia Fiklistova and Denis Rastruba, participants of the IV Winter Youth Olympic Games, won silver in the mixed team competition.
In the discipline of freestyle acrobatics, individual competitions have brought a historic result for the country. Dinmukhammad Rayymkul successfully completed a difficult program and became the men's world champion. He scored 104.52 points, beating two Chinese athletes (Yu Yonghen and Yang Zhicheng). In the women's competition, all medals were won by athletes from China.
On the final day of the World Cup, the Kazakhstan-2 team (Adelina Omirzakova, Roman Poghosyan, Ulanbakir Omirzakov) took 6th place in the team competition, while the Kazakhstan-1 team (Dinmukhammad Rayymkul, Ardana Makhanova, Asylkhan Asan) finished in 7th position. Ruslan Yesenalin, Chairman of the Committee on Sports and Physical Culture of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, took part in the awarding ceremony for the winners of the team competitions.
In the overall standings, the Kazakhstan national mogul and acrobatics team won 2 gold and 2 silver medals, taking 2nd place after the Chinese team (2 gold, 3 silver, 2 bronze). The Japanese team rounded out the top three (2 gold, 1 bronze).
