As part of a working visit to Kurchatov, akim of Abay region Nurlan Urankhaev visited several socially significant facilities and inspected the progress of construction and restoration work.
The first stop of the head of the region was the building of the House of children's and youth creativity. Mayor of the city Bolat Abdraliyev reported on the execution and completion of the project. Before that, the places for children and adolescents to engage in creativity were cramped. And it is worth noting that the new building was previously abandoned. Recently, the work on the restoration of empty buildings in the city has been revived, and blood has begun to flow to the architectural appearance of the city.
Today, in the House of creativity of children and adolescents, in addition to such clubs as robotics, tailoring, dance, pottery, game techniques, there is an assembly hall. The necessary equipment has been acquired. In the spring, work will begin on the improvement of the courtyard of the building.
Seeing the work done, the head of the region instructed to overhaul another building where young people will meet. In addition, at the request of the mayor of the city, the head of the Regional Department of Education Nurzhan Akhmetkaliyev instructed to build a sports ground in the school yard in the city.
The head of the region also visited the site of the construction of a physical culture and Recreation Complex. The new sports complex will meet modern standards. At the same time, it will be available to people of all ages, including people with disabilities.
The mayor also paid attention to the issues of heat supply to the city. Boiler room No. 1 provides heat to 30 multi-storey residential buildings. Last year, 4 furnaces in the boiler house were repaired and 2 old ones were replaced. In addition, 2 additional stoves are installed. There are 4 boilers in Kurchatov. They serve 79 residential buildings, 20 state institutions, 24 legal entities.
"Each of these objects plays an important role in the development of the city of Kurchatov. We must create opportunities for residents to play sports and be creative. To do this, we must complete the work on time," the governor of the region said.
In Kurchatov, apartment buildings, abandoned for many years and empty, are also gradually being restored. The contract work on one of them is carried out by" Centaur-Kurylys " LLP. Completion of the work is scheduled for April 2025. Currently, work is underway to restore 2 multi-storey buildings in the city. There are 5 more houses in the plan. The number of people on the waiting list for housing is 236 people. Among them are civil servants, large families, orphans. The head of the region noted that it is necessary to pay special attention to the quality of the restored houses and pay attention to their modern appearance.
