The head of the region, Yermek Kosherbayev, met with the Chairman of the Administrative Police Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kaisar Sultanbayev, and the head of the East Kazakhstan Region Police Department, Yerlan Omarbekov.
During the meeting, the participants discussed strengthening the material and technical base of the police department, as well as promoting the principle of "zero tolerance" for offenses in society, and maintaining proper public order.
In addition, issues of juvenile delinquency prevention and school safety were discussed. It should be noted that in 2024, 10 classes of young police officers "Zhas Sakhy" were opened, the curriculum includes classes on law enforcement, initial military training and first aid, conducted with the participation of specialists, including police officers.
The governor of the region noted that one of the key tasks remains to ensure the principle of walking distance of police for citizens, the opening of new police stations, the development of video surveillance systems and the installation of alarm buttons to increase the safety of citizens.
