The International Digital Forum Digital Almaty 2025: "Industrial AI: Technologies for a new Era" will be held in Almaty from January 31 to February 1, 2025.
The leading international platform will bring together government officials from the EAEU countries, leading experts and entrepreneurs to discuss the prospects for innovative development and the digital agenda of the EAEU countries. The Industry 4.0 AI Battle, a large–scale battle for the title of the best startup in the field of artificial intelligence, an exhibition of the largest Kazakhstani subsoil users, industrial startups, technology parks, and technology companies that will share their experience and information about projects in the field of the IT ecosystem, is also planned within the framework of the VII Forum.
Digital Almaty 2025 is dedicated to disruptive industry changes and the impact of AI on the future of the global industry. AI technologies are becoming a key driver of efficiency, safety and sustainability of production processes. The application of Industrial AI to automate, predict, and optimize complex production chains opens up new horizons for intelligent industrial sector management. More than 40,000 people are expected to attend the two-day digital event.
"VII Digital Almaty will present an extensive business program that will cover the topics of AI integration into industrial ecosystems; economics and finance; ESG; medicine, education and cybersecurity. In other words, AI solutions will be offered at the Forum site, through which it will be possible to transform production, including the development of smart factories, modernization and automation within the framework of Industry 4.0," said Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry Jaslan Madiyev.
Recognized by global experts, Digital Almaty gathered more than 300 speakers last year. There is a great interest in domestic digital solutions from other countries. The proof of this is the participation in 47 panel sessions of about 70 experts from foreign countries, including the ministers of digitalization of a number of states. Along with discussion platforms for the guests of the event, there was an exhibition presenting digital projects of about 230 domestic and international IT companies, as well as leading international experts on digitalization.
The Digital Almaty-2024 platform has become a great opportunity to establish partnerships and share experiences in the field of digitalization. About 60 B2B meetings and more than 50 pitchings between subsurface users and startups took place here.
As a result of the Forum, about 30 memoranda were signed. So, Freedom Holding Corp. signed a memorandum with the Executive Directorate of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea. During the forum, Timur Turlov presented the project "Eco-cards in support of the Aral Sea", the main idea of which is to transfer a 10% cashback to the fund for saving the disappearing sea.
On the final day of the forum, Digital Almaty-2024 hosted the largest Industry 4.0 Startup Battle with a total prize pool of $180,000. Out of 200 applications, 30 startups in the field of industrial digitalization made it to the finals, which competed for prizes from the Battle partners. The best projects were selected by professional jury members from among representatives of government agencies, venture investors, trackers, as well as subsurface users (KazPetrol, Kusto Group, KazMinerals, Karachaganak Petroleum).
Digital Almaty is organized by the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Akimat of Almaty and the Autonomous Cluster Fund "Park of Innovative Technologies".
