On the correct filling of column 31 of the goods declaration

The Department of State Revenue for the Zhambyl Region draws the attention of participants in foreign economic activity to the need to strictly comply with the requirements for filling out column 31 of the goods declaration “Cargo units and description of goods”.

When filling out column 31, it is necessary to provide complete and accurate information about the declared goods, which allows them to be identified and the corresponding ten‑digit HS code of the EAEU can be determined.

In the product description, if relevant information is available, it is necessary to indicate its name, manufacturer, trademark, brand, model, article number, technical and commercial characteristics, composition, quantity, units of measurement, and other characteristics necessary for identifying the product, calculating customs duties, and complying with prohibitions and restrictions.

Please note: incomplete or incorrect product descriptions may lead to the need to clarify the submitted information, additional requests from customs authorities, delays in customs operations, and may also hinder the correct automated processing of data in the NIP “KEDEN”.

In this regard, participants in foreign trade are advised to carefully check the completeness and accuracy of the information declared in column 31 before submitting the declaration.

Correct filling of column 31 is an important condition for the efficient and timely completion of customs operations.
