In Aktobe, military personnel, cadets and citizens paid tribute to the memory of Hero of the Soviet Union, famous sniper Aliya Moldagulova.
She was born on October 25, 1925 in the village of Bulak, Aktobe region. She joined the front at the end of 1942. She served in the 54th Separate Rifle Brigade of the 22nd Army of the 2nd Baltic Front. In one of the battles, in a hand-to-hand fight with a German officer, a girl died from a fatal wound, having managed to destroy the enemy.
Today, on January 14, on the day of her death, flowers were laid at the memorial complex of Hero of the Soviet Union Aliya Moldagulova in Aktobe.
Aliya Moldagulova's memory was honored by Akim of the region Askhat Shakharov, representatives of the Department of Defense, the leadership, cadets of the Military Institute of the Air Defense Forces, soldiers of the Aktobe garrison, veterans of the Armed Forces, pupils of the movement "Zhas Sarbaz" and relatives.
Akim of the region Askhat Shakharov noted that Aliya Moldagulova's anniversary is included in the list of republican events. More than a hundred mass, cultural, patriotic, military-sports and international events will be held at the regional level. Social and cultural facilities will be renovated and built in the native area.
– We are proud of our compatriot. Her name is immortalized in songs, poetry and prose, it is assigned to the streets of the cities and the memorial museum in the regional center. Our Aliyah has become a symbol of courage, dedication and immortality, and her name is sacred to us," said Colonel Timur Espaganbetov, head of the Military Institute of the Air Defense Forces.
On this day, events dedicated to the brave native of Kazakhstan, Alia Moldagulova, are held everywhere.
