The leadership of the Ministry of Trade and Integration has taken the initiative to review the working conditions for foreign online stores.
In particular, the head of the department, Arman Shakkaliyev, proposes to introduce an electronic platform for registering foreign marketplaces. In addition, it is planned to introduce mandatory conditions for them in terms of compliance with the requirements for the safety of goods, combating counterfeiting, consumer protection, storage and protection of personal data, tax and customs transparency.
The reason for taking such measures was the increased complaints from citizens about foreign online trading platforms, the sellers of which are outside the jurisdiction of Kazakhstan.
