The event was timed to coincide with the day of the death of Hero of the Soviet Union, Kazakh heroine Aliya Moldagulova.
Young people, public figures, veterans and residents of the Almaty district of Aktobe laid flowers at the monument to the bust of a sniper girl installed on Sherniyaza Street. The audience honored Aliya's memory and paid tribute to her feat.
This day will forever remain in the history of the country as a symbol of heroism, patriotism and indomitable spirit.
The participants of the event noted that Aliya Moldagulova's feat, accomplished in the name of defending the Motherland, is a great example for present and future generations. The feat of the heroine will forever remain in the memory of the Kazakh people.
The event was organized to honor the spiritual legacy of the heroine and strengthen the sense of patriotism among young people.
