Residents of the capital of Kazakhstan can now use more than 70 city services directly through their smartphone. One of the most useful sections of the Smart Astana application is "Medicine", which includes 7 key services aimed at improving the quality of medical care in Astana, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
The application covers a wide range of urban services such as security, housing and communal services, education and many others. However, special attention is paid to the section devoted to medical services that are available to residents of the capital with maximum convenience.
The subsections "Medical organizations" and "Medical and social institutions" provide detailed information about polyclinics, hospitals, and social service centers. Users can find out the name of the institution, the address, contact details, the name of the head and the location on the map.
It is also possible to rate each institution on a scale from 1 to 5 points. The "Nearby" function allows you to sort medical institutions by distance from the user's current location, and "Favorites" allows you to add selected institutions to a personal list for quick access in the future.
For even greater convenience of Astana residents, there is a section "My clinic" in the application. After entering the IIN, information about your attached medical facility will appear on the screen, including contact information, address, and card.
You can now make an appointment with a doctor online. To do this, just go to the "Make an appointment with a doctor" subsection, enter the IIN, and the system will offer available dates and times for the appointment of a local doctor.
For emergencies, the application provides a section "Calling a doctor at home". After entering the IIN, information about the patient, the name of the organization and the address is automatically displayed.
Users can specify the reason for the call and, if necessary, specify the information in the "Note" field if the address requires correction.
In addition, the application provides information about the health insurance status in the "Medical Insurance (MSHI)" section. Residents of the city can also find answers to frequently asked questions about insurance here.
After visiting a doctor, Astana residents can easily find out the cost and availability of necessary drugs in the nearest pharmacies thanks to the "i-teka Medicines" section. This service helps you quickly find the right medicines and choose a pharmacy that is convenient in location.
The app also provides important information about the level of air pollution in the city. The Air Pollution section displays the AQI air quality index, which helps residents monitor the environmental situation in the city.
As of the end of 2024, the number of active users of the Smart Astana application exceeded 30,000 people, which confirms the high interest in digital services among citizens.
