A meeting of the heads of the Interior Ministry services with representatives of the Interpol General Secretariat was held in Astana.
The purpose of the meeting is to intensify the further development of bilateral relations between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan and the International Criminal Police Organization — Interpol, as well as active cooperation in countering new challenges and threats.
During the meeting with foreign colleagues, key issues of bilateral cooperation with the Organization, prospects for their further strengthening in the field of international investigation, combating transnational crime, terrorism, illegal migration, as well as training and advanced training for law enforcement officers were discussed.
Merey Makulzhan, the head of the Kazakhstan NCB Interpol, drew attention to the integration of the Organization's international databases with the information databases of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the practice of their use by police officers of Kazakhstan in their daily service.
Foreign partners have separately noted the active cooperation of the NCB Interpol of Kazakhstan with the General Secretariat and all member countries of the Criminal Police Organization, which is at a high level.
Representatives of the Interpol Headquarters expressed gratitude for the active support of their initiatives aimed at effective cooperation.
