Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Saken Sarsenov arrived in Kyzylorda region on a working visit. During the visit, the Deputy Minister introduced the new Chief of police of the Kyzylorda region to the activists of the Kyzylorda region and the staff.
In coordination with the presidential administration, by order of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Police Colonel Serik Zhursinbayevich Ergeshov was appointed head of the police Department of the Kyzylorda region.
Serik Ergeshov has been serving in the internal affairs bodies since 2000. He held various senior positions. Previously, he served as Deputy Head of the Shymkent City Police Department.
At the meeting of the region's activists, the Deputy Minister presented a letter of thanks to the Governor of the region, Nurlybek Nalibayev, on behalf of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the working visit, the Deputy Minister held an operational meeting with the participation of the leadership of the regional DP and personnel.
The Minister of Internal Affairs declared 2025 the "Year of Prevention: police on guard of law and order." In order to strengthen the narrative of "Law and Order", he set specific tasks for the heads of the territorial divisions of the Department of Internal Affairs to strengthen preventive measures and raise citizens' legal awareness.
These and other issues related to police activities, basic requirements and instructions were brought to the attention of the personnel. The Deputy Minister outlined the priorities for the coming period. He gave recommendations on how to eliminate the shortcomings.
Then Saken Sarsenov got acquainted with the use of modern technologies for the prevention and detection of crimes, the progress of digitalization of police work.
After examining the operational management center of the regional police department, Saken Sarsenov noted that the center is equipped with logistical equipment for the effective work of employees.
It is worth noting that central control centers of police departments have been launched in all districts of the Kyzylorda region. In seven districts of the region, police departments are equipped with 588 video surveillance cameras. 77 video cameras and seven automatic detection systems for traffic violations have been installed in each district.
Last year, 138 crimes were solved with the help of cameras and about 50,000 administrative offenses were detected.
As part of his working trip, the Deputy Minister visited the Shieli district and the city of Baikonur.
I got acquainted with the work of local police departments, conducted an analysis of the state of service discipline and checked the state of material and technical equipment.
During the meeting with the personnel of the units, he focused on the tasks assigned by the head of state to the internal affairs bodies. He outlined specific tasks to ensure high-level public order and unconditional observance of law and order by employees.
