Inspector of the patrol police battalion of the Almaty region police department Shalkhar Baizhomartov, who died in the line of duty, was awarded the order of the III degree "aybin".
The state award was presented to the father of the deceased by Deputy Minister of internal affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aidar Saitbekov during a working visit to the Police Department of Almaty region. He expressed condolences to the family and noted the heroism and dedication to the service of senior lieutenant Baizhomartov.
- Employees of internal affairs bodies are always at the forefront in the fight against crime and ensuring order. Shalkhar Baizhomartov proved that he served his homeland faithfully, sacrificing his life, – said Aidar Saitbekov.
The tragedy occurred on December 20 last year. During the registration of the accident, one of the cars could not take the reins and squeezed the policeman into a company car, causing his death.
- Senior police lieutenant Shalkhar Baizhomartov will forever be remembered as a heroic officer, devoted to his service. His feat is a reminder of the importance of the work of police officers who take daily risks for the safety of citizens, – concluded A. Saitbekov.
