The main rating tournament on Kazak kuresi "Dala kyrandary" has ended in the capital.
64 athletes in eight weight categories competed for the victory. Karaganda residents won three prizes.
The Karaganda region was represented by five athletes: Nurzhigit Oral (55 kg), Bauyrzhan Huangan (82 kg), Olzhas Isakhanov (90 kg), Mukhit Kargabai (90 kg), Yerkanat Moldagulov (100 kg). Three of them won prizes in different categories. Yerkanat Moldagulov became the second in the 100 kg weight category, Bauyrzhan Huangan took the third place in the 82 kg weight category, Olzhas Isakhanov took bronze in the 90 kg weight category. All of them are students of the school of higher sports excellence in non-Olympic sports.
— The opponents were very strong. Among them are world champions, Asian champions, winners of the Nomad Games. Only eight wrestlers participated in each weight category, those who won in the previous qualifying rounds," says Maksat Akhmetbekov, senior coach of the Karaganda region for Kazakh kuresi. — Our athletes are also very strong. And this time, I think they just didn't have enough luck, because their skills are at the highest level.
