In 2025, 270 families in the Karaganda region will have the opportunity to become parents using free in vitro fertilization (IVF) services under the compulsory social health insurance program. The program is intended for couples who have been trying to conceive a child for more than a year, but are unable to achieve pregnancy.
To get a quota for IVF, you must:
- contact the polyclinic at the place of attachment and make an appointment with an obstetrician-gynecologist;
- take hormone tests, undergo an examination for tubal patency and receive a conclusion from a reproductologist;
- men need to undergo a spermogram and receive an andrologist's opinion.
With a full package of documents, you need to contact the commission for issuing quotas to the Family Planning and Reproductive Health Center of the regional clinical hospital.
– If your clinic does not have the necessary specialists or equipment for conducting research, you can get a referral to the Family Planning Center, where all the necessary procedures will be performed as part of the MHI, – says obstetrician-gynecologist and reproductologist Tatiana Slobodchikova.
After receiving a positive conclusion from the commission, couples will be able to choose any clinic in Kazakhstan for IVF procedures.
