Today, Akim of North Kazakhstan Region Gauez Nurmukhambetov visited the "Higher Vocational Pedagogical College", "College of Service Sector named after I.Dautov" and "Petropavlovsk College of Mechanical Engineering and Transport named after B.Ashimov". During the meetings with college directors and specialists, issues related to the implementation of tasks within the framework of the "Year of Working Professions" initiated by the Head of State were discussed.
The region has adopted a regional plan for the Year of Working Professions, which will include 47 different events. The state aims to increase the prestige of working professions in society, to carry out career guidance work with young people. It is important that school graduates realize the importance of working professions and choose them for their future careers. It is also important to assist in the employment of young personnel in working professions.
There are 24 colleges in the region, of which 13 specialize in training workers. Of the 11,000 students, 3.8 thousand are enrolled in professional professions. Our colleges are equipped with modern equipment, which allows us to provide high-quality education and practical skills for students.
Today, there is a need in the labor market for such sought-after professions as machine operators, engineers, electricians, turners, builders and welders. To solve this problem, an additional 105 grants will be allocated for working specialties in colleges, which will increase their total number to 1,742. For dual education, enrollment will grow from 2.6 thousand to 3 thousand students. Under this program, colleges cooperate with more than 300 enterprises, and 1,000 contracts have been signed.
