A Government meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov. The agenda included the development of electronic commerce, preparations for the IX Asian Winter Games in Harbin, as well as draft government resolutions. Akim of the region Nurlybek Nalibayev also took part in the meeting on a conference call. After the Government meeting, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of the akim of the region, at which tasks on the issues raised were identified. The meeting was attended by akims of Kyzylorda city and districts, as well as heads of responsible industries.
"Organize work to train local entrepreneurs in the basics of e-commerce. To increase the volume of exports in electronic commerce, assist enterprises in this industry in registering on online marketplaces and carry out the necessary measures. In the field of consumer protection, pay special attention to the quality of goods in electronic commerce and take appropriate measures in a timely manner," the governor of the region said.
The IX Asian Winter Games will be held in Harbin, China, from February 7 to March 14, 2025. 139 athletes from Kazakhstan will go to the competition to defend the honor of the country. The Department of Physical Education and Sports should take concrete measures to develop winter sports, as well as increase the number of sports schools providing services in this area. It is necessary to strengthen the work and maximize the use of the potential of the Ice Arena sports complex and sports schools in the region," he added.
It should be noted that there are 10 registered enterprises in the region that use Internet resources to sell goods and services. In 2023, these enterprises made more than 18 thousand orders, the turnover amounted to 281 million tenge. There are 11 Kazpost supermarkets and other online stores in the region that provide storage and delivery of orders. Currently, many manufacturers of goods sell their products through electronic platforms.
There are 14,822 sports sections in the region, in which 342,223 people are engaged, of which 153 athletes are engaged in winter sports in 14 sections. 1 billion 869 million tenge was allocated from the regional budget for the development of sports, of which 51 million 476 thousand tenge were allocated for the development of winter sports. Taking into account the climatic features of the region, the Ice Arena sports complex has clubs for three winter sports.
To date, 4 of our athletes have won prizes in the republican championships. Two of them compete in short track among young athletes, and two in figure skating. There are 22 children's and youth sports schools in the region, one of which provides winter sports services.
