While on vacation in Ridder, East Kazakhstan region, Asset Sakenov, a Kazakhstani cadet of the Russian Air Force Academy, saved a man from a fire.
In early January, a fire broke out in an apartment on the fifth floor in one of the high-rise buildings in Ridder. Noticing the flames on the balcony of the house, Asset rushed there, calling the rescue service on the way.
Going up to the fifth floor, he found the right apartment and opened the door. Acrid smoke burst out, and nothing could be seen because of it. He entered the apartment on his knees. By the sound of rustling, he noticed the silhouette of a man in the far room. I couldn't get to him the first time: I couldn't get enough air, and my eyes were watering a lot. Jumping out onto the landing, he took a flashlight from the neighbors and crawled back into the burning apartment. As a result, he managed to pull the man onto the landing.
After making sure that the victim was being helped by professionals, Asset went home with a calm heart. The daredevil, who risked his life, was found a couple of days later. It turned out to be ridderets, a fifth-year cadet at the Military Air Academy named after Professor N. E. Zhukovsky and Yu.A. Gagarin (Voronezh) Asset Sakenov,
Before Asset left for his place of study, Major Zhasulan Satbaldiev, Deputy Head of the Department of Defense of the East Kazakhstan region, encouraged him with a letter of thanks. For the heroic act, the local akimat presented Asset's mother with a TV set, and the hero himself received a letter of thanks.
– Asset is a real hero! Risking his life, without thinking for a second, he rushed to save the man. This is a real manifestation of heroism and humanity," Zh. Satbaldiev.
The representative of the department also noted that in six months the cadet will receive the rank of lieutenant. Upon completion of his studies, Asset Sakenov will continue to serve in the Kazakh army as a specialist in the use and operation of unmanned aerial systems.
