The perinatal center of the Mangystau Regional Multidisciplinary Hospital has been equipped with the latest, high–quality medical equipment - hypothermia apparatus, ventilator and incubators for newborns.
The medical equipment that promotes the development of the baby was purchased with the support of the Akimat of the Mangystau region and the DUNGA OPERATING GMBH company. The transfer of the new equipment was attended by Deputy akim of the region Abbat Urisbayev, head of the regional health department Bekbolat Izbasarov, CEO of the sponsoring company Nurzhan Abdirakhmanov and director of the multidisciplinary hospital Ruslan Bekibayev.
According to Umid Rashidov, head of the intensive care unit of the perinatal center, a neonatologist, a hypothermia device is necessary to save the life of a child born with severe asphyxia and prevent brain cancer. The device helps to maintain the body temperature of a newborn baby in a normal state. Then gradually the body temperature is raised. The device allows you to change the metabolism in the child's body, provide the brain with glucose, and protect the cells of the central nervous system from irreversible damage.
In addition, 8 incubators for premature babies were purchased for the medical center. Newborns can stay in them until they gain weight. The equipment works automatically, that is, humidity and temperature are maintained, creating the necessary conditions for the child's development.
The intensive care unit of the perinatal center was opened in February last year. The department is designed for 6 kids. Currently, there are 8 babies in the department.
