Astana-Teplotransit JSC, a dynamically developing enterprise in the capital, is re-equipping with modern machinery, mechanisms and equipment, as well as training and certification of engineering and technical staff in all specialties. Today, over 700 employees work here. One of them is excavator operator Islam Kazhatov, he spoke about his work and shared his opinion about the Year of Working Professions, the official website of the Astana Akimat reports.
Islam Kazhatov is the youngest of the young specialists and has been working as an excavator operator for 2.5 years.
"Our main task is to provide warmth in every home, creating comfort so that citizens, especially children and the elderly, do not freeze in winter. After the end of the heating period, we carry out preparatory work for the next season – we carry out planned repairs and measures under the investment program. Our installers inspect the areas where pipes need to be replaced, and troubleshooting work is being carried out at these facilities. We also deal with the elimination of gusts and leaks in case of emergencies," Islam Kazhatov said.
According to him, big technology has attracted him since childhood.
"From an early age, my father and I used to drive different cars, and since then I have developed an interest in big technology. As he got older, he began to pay even more attention to cars and learned how to operate them. Over the years, experience comes, and interest in the profession increases," the Astana resident noted.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, delivering a Message to the people of Kazakhstan, highlighted the importance of consistently increasing the country's human resources potential and declared 2025 the Year of Working Professions. Islam Kazhatov shared his opinion on the relevance of this initiative.
"I would like to recommend that the younger generation choose technical education and learn how to operate special equipment. It is the working professions that are important for the further maintenance of the city's vital activity. In addition, they will remain relevant in the future. Time is running out, it is necessary to replenish the ranks of workers. Therefore, it is important that the current generation does not lag behind us and learns in—demand professions," he stressed.
