This was reported by the Committee of Railway and Water Transport of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Thus, Kazakhstan's exports increased by 1 million tons and amounted to 13.7 million tons.
The main export cargoes are iron and non-ferrous ore, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, grain cargoes, etc.
Imports increased by 5%, and transit traffic through Kazakhstan increased by 19% and amounted to 15.3 million tons.

Container transit to Europe increased by 43%.
It should be recalled that an important growth factor was the opening of a Kazakh terminal in the International Dry Port of Xi'an.

In 2024, more than 300 container trains passed through this terminal and the Aktau port, which is 30 times more than in 2023.
