The Minister of Internal Affairs held a meeting at the Astana City Police Department.
Interior Minister Yerzhan Sadenov held a working meeting with the heads of services and departments of the Astana City Police Department. The results of operational and service activities are reviewed and priority tasks are identified.
The head of the Ministry stressed that Astana, as the capital and business card of the country, requires a special approach to security and law enforcement issues.
— The population of the capital already exceeds one and a half million people, and with the growth of the metropolis, the responsibility of the police is also increasing. Law and Order are the foundation of your work. The well—being of the residents depends on your professionalism and organization," Yerzhan Sadenov noted.
During the meeting, the Minister of Internal Affairs listened to reports from the head of the Astana City Police Department, heads of the department's staff, and district divisions, and stressed that the Head of State had set the task of widespread implementation of the principles of justice and identified prevention as a key area of activity.
— The adoption of the Law "On the prevention of Offenses" is planned. Prevention is the task of all services. Your goal is to reach the zero threshold, where any offenses are prevented in advance. This requires coherence, initiative and a clear organization," the minister said.
Following the meeting, Yerzhan Sadenov gave specific instructions aimed at improving the efficiency of the metropolitan police, emphasizing the need for strict monitoring of their implementation.
