In 2024, 271,348 Grippol+ vaccinations were carried out against influenza and ARVI in the Turkestan region. In general, 12.9% of the region's population has been vaccinated. This was announced at a briefing with media representatives by Deputy head of the regional Department of sanitary and Epidemiological control Bakhtyoraz Yelemesov.
"During the epidemic season of 2024-2025, 125,804 cases of acute respiratory viral infections were registered in the Turkestan region until January 9. Of these, 69,142 cases were detected among children under 14 years of age, 9,985 in children under 1 year of age, and 7,143 cases of acute respiratory viral infections in pregnant women. It is no secret that the epidemiological situation regarding common infectious diseases, especially acute respiratory viral infections and influenza, is characterized by instability. The incidence increases rapidly at any time, and complications are more likely to occur. This is obviously facilitated by the active development of our country's political, economic, and tourism relations with far and near abroad, and with the countries of Southeast Asia," the speaker noted.
Also, Deputy head of the regional health department Bauyrzhan Satybaldy, who was present at the briefing, reported on the epidemiological situation in the region.
"To date, there are 685 infectious diseases beds in the region, including 240 for adults and 445 for children. The number of patients in infectious diseases beds is 486, of which 199 are adults, 66 are women, and 221 are children," Bauyrzhan Nurlanovich said.
