The Karaganda region is one of the three leaders in the country in terms of online sales. To date, there are several popular electronic platforms in the region, the largest of which is the Teez marketplace, which opened in November last year.
Already 350 people are employed at its base, and in the future it is planned to increase the number of jobs to 8 thousand throughout Kazakhstan.
The Teez marketplace provides entrepreneurs with access to modern infrastructure and logistics resources, allows them to improve sales organization and customer interaction. More than a thousand businessmen from the Karaganda region have already joined this platform.
Abzal Rakhimbayev, Deputy head of the Entrepreneurship Department, says that the focus is on supporting local businessmen, for whom new digital tools are becoming an opportunity to enter the national market.
– Our priority task is to connect not only resellers, but also local manufacturers. This is a great opportunity for them," said Abzal Rakhimbayev.
The development of e-commerce has a positive impact on related industries such as logistics, courier services, catering, and opens up additional opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses.
Currently, 22 thousand sellers of goods throughout Kazakhstan cooperate with the Teez marketplace.
– The feature of our marketplace is the use of a centralized logistics approach: goods are assembled at the main warehouse in Karaganda, where they are processed and sent to recipients throughout Kazakhstan within one day, – says Anton Ivanov, Head of Teez Warehouse Logistics Department. – Karaganda, due to its location almost in the center of Kazakhstan and proximity to the capital, has an excellent logistics infrastructure, which makes it possible to efficiently deliver goods to any point of the country.
Thus, the regional center is becoming one of the key trade and logistics hubs of the country.
