In the Yesil district of the capital, police officers and representatives of the akimat conducted another raid to identify the facts of illegal trade in nasvai and snus, the official website of the Akimat of Astana reports.
Representatives of the district akimat and employees of the police department also held explanatory talks with entrepreneurs about the ban on the sale of non-smoking tobacco products.
During the inspection, 10 retail facilities were examined, and in one of them the fact of the sale of prohibited goods was recorded.
An administrative protocol was drawn up against the owner of the outlet under Article 196 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and a fine of 25 MCI was imposed.
The head of the district akimat, Yesil Ali Zholtabar, noted that such events contribute to creating a healthier and safer environment for citizens.
"We must actively work in this direction to prevent the spread of such goods and inform residents about the risks they pose," he said.
The raids to identify violations are aimed at preventing bad habits among young people and increasing the responsibility of entrepreneurs to comply with the law.
During the event, preventive explanatory work with store sellers was checked and carried out, they are carried out on an ongoing basis in all six districts of Astana.
