Astana–Kinshasa, August 20, 2026– Supported by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Ethiopia, the second round of online negotiations between the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Foreign Trade of the Democratic Republic of the Congo convened at the senior official level. Representatives from other relevant government bodies of both nations also participated in the roundtable proceedings.

During the meeting, the parties deliberated on matters of bilateral trade, economic, and investment cooperation. Furthermore, they explored prospects for interaction regarding technology transfer and the sharing of Kazakhstan’s expertise in developing artificial intelligence and software solutions, transport and logistics, as well as agricultural advancement and industrial cooperation.

Following the negotiations, the heads of both delegations agreed to sustain an active dialogue encompassing a broader representation of delegates from the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, including future engagements at a higher political level.
