There are non-governmental organizations in the capital that actively support and help families with many children, low-income families and families in difficult situations. One of these organizations is the Strong Mothers NS Public Foundation. Its head, Raigul Serikbayeva, spoke about the work carried out by the foundation, the official website of the Astana Akimat reports.
Raigul Serikbayeva implements the Bilim al educational project in Astana. An education teacher and a mother with many children has opened four centers in the capital, which teach English, Kazakh, Russian, mathematics, prepare for school, and work with an extended day group.
In addition to additional education, there are creative clubs such as playing the dombra, piano, vocals, drawing, chess. Active students of the centers participate in various competitions and events.
Children from large and low-income families attend the centers on preferential terms. During the two summer months, children are taught English and computer literacy for free. In March and April of this year, the centers are launching free English, computer and digital literacy courses for moms.
The NGO also has foster families who live on the outskirts of Astana.
"We provide one-time food assistance. We helped two families under our care to purchase apartments through a charitable foundation," said Raigul Serikbayeva.
The centers have offices where they provide free assistance in obtaining services such as queuing for kindergarten, enrolling in school, university admission, and collecting documents on housing programs. Lawyers advise on divorces, alimony payments, and unblocking bank accounts.
The centers are open every day at the following addresses:
- Valikhanov Street, 3;
- Koshkarbayev Avenue, 39;
- Kemengeruly Street, 11;
- Moldagalieva Street, 2.
