The project on rehabilitation of the Bolshoy Bukpa riverbed continues in Karaganda. After its completion, the park lakes will be filled with clean water. This year, local sewage treatment plants are to be built on the territory of the Central Park.
Akim of the Karaganda region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev held a meeting on the further implementation of the project.
The rehabilitation project for a large Crowd is ongoing. It should be fully completed this year.
The total length of the Big Bukpa is 17 kilometers. Sanitation is carried out along the entire riverbed: from the beginning of the river at the borders of the Kostenko mine site to its confluence with the Sokyr River. In addition to cleaning from silt, debris and thickets, dredging and expansion are provided.
In the park area, the river section is almost 2.5 kilometers long. The head of the region was informed that last year they were cleaning an underground collector. It was very heavily clogged with debris and silt. The mud mass had to be pulled out manually. In addition, observation hatches were installed.
– According to the project, local sewage treatment plants should operate for 14 days in the spring flood. During this period, the park lake will receive about 168 cubic meters of clean water. This is only a third of the water in the lake. Now the water level in the first lake has dropped, and it does not fall into the second and third lakes. If we make a VOC with a pressurized water supply, then we can continue to supply water in the summer. The volume of clean water entering the lakes will increase. This will improve their ecology," explained Nuraly Kaliev, head of the Hydro Kurylys LLP site.
The akim of the region, together with representatives of contractors, went to the river section on the outskirts of Mikhaylovka, where the riverbed was cleared.
– Today we inspected the cleaning of the Bolshoy Bukpa riverbed. We have been actively engaged in this for two years now. The residents raised the issue. We looked at the location for the local sewage treatment plants. This is necessary in order to purify the waters that will flow into the park lakes. We discussed the condition of the lakes in the park. Last year, the sludge was cleared, and work will continue this year. There is a plan of the city akimat," said Ermaganbet Bulekpayev.
