A command and staff mobilization exercise was held in Taraz, Zhambyl region, under the command of the Commander of the South Regional Command. The meeting was supervised by the First Deputy Minister of Defense, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Lieutenant General Sultan Kamaletdinov.
Previously, such exercises were conducted in a limited number. This year, for the first time, representatives of local executive bodies were involved in the mobilization exercise, which was led by the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Kuanyshbek Ushtaev.
During the exercise, the heads of the departments of mobilization training, civil and territorial defense of the akimats of Zhambyl, Kyzylorda, Turkestan regions, as well as the cities of Astana and Shymkent discussed issues of interaction, and, having identified problematic issues, jointly sought ways to solve them.
The exercise worked out mechanisms for putting troops on high alert, interacting with local akimats on the supply of mobilization resources and equipment.
– The participation of akimats allowed us to work out algorithms for integrating the resources of the army and local executive bodies to ensure the security of the region. Everything is being done so that they can act together, as a united front," said Major General Kuanyshbek Ushtaev, Chief of the General Staff of the Kazakh Army.
The command and staff mobilization exercise has become an important step in improving Kazakhstan's national security. The participation of representatives of all levels of government has significantly strengthened cooperation between military and civilian structures to effectively respond to possible threats.
